This awesome shirt hails back from the time of newsgroups and Usenet, and it highlights one specific Usenet board that used to be active, rec.music.industrial. During the 90s, RMI was the place to go to share and discuss industrial music. While industrial music started to gain mainstream attention in the 90s, RMI offered a place for fans to dive deeper into the genre. It was ideal for rural listeners and people who didn't have an active local music scene, and it was also a place for artists to share and promote their music directly to fans.
While groups like Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, and Orgy are often thought of as the leading industrial bands of the 90s, RMI introduced people to a much larger collection of lesser known artists. Some popular names that used to be found throughout the board included groups such as Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, Kraftwerk, Godflesh, Cabaret Voltaire, Chemlab, Coil, and Stabbing Westward.
Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. This shirt has some fading and small holes, see pics.
