This amazing tee commemorates the 1990 edition of the Reggae Sunsplash music festival that used to be held each year in Jamaica. The first ever Reggae Sunsplash was held in 1978 at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, and by 1985 the event was expanded to include international tours. The festival did a lot to boost tourism to Jamaica during the summer season, and its success led to the creation of other annual music festivals in the Caribbean region.

Over the years, Reggae Sunsplash showcased a number of notable reggae musicians, including artists like Eek-A-Mouse, Steel Pulse, The Gladiators, and Toots & The Maytals, just to name a few. During the 1990 festival, some of the performers included Bunny Wailer, Judy Mowatt, The Abyssinians, Rhapsody, Bayerman Vibration, and Buddy Miles.
