This early 2000s tee celebrates one of the most iconic pop punk bands of the era, Blink-182. The band first emerged in 1992, growing out of the Southern California skate punk scene and gaining notoriety for their high energy and off-beat humor. This shirt is from 2001, the year that they released one of their most successful albums Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.
Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was the follow up to their mainstream breakthrough Enema of the State. It was considered a concept album with songs that focused on the highs and lows of adolescence. The album managed to spawn three singles that all breached thee top ten of the modern rock charts, "The Rock Show", "First Date", and "Stay Together for the Kids". To help promote the album's release, the band toured along side fellow pop punk icons, Green Day for the Pop Disaster Tour.
Around this time, members Tom Delonge and Travis Baker also worked on a side project, a band called Box Car Racer that produced a single album of the same name. This album was a way for them to explore their earlier post-hardcore influences, bands like Fugazi and Refused.
