This awesome shirt is a piece of promotional merch for Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, an animated series that was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation in the early 2000s. The show was a spin-off of the wildly popular Toy Story franchise from Pixar, but unlike the films, this show utilized 2D animation. Buzz Lightyear of Star Command also didn't focus on the character of Buzz as a toy, instead it expanded on his fictional background as a decorated space ranger.

The show only lasted for a single season, but it was preceded by a direct-to-video movie titled Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins. Tim Allen, who voiced Buzz in all of the Toy Story films, also starred in the introductory movie, but he wasn't featured at all in the actual show. Instead, Buzz's voice in the show was provided by Patrick Warburton, the same actor to voice Kronk in Disney's The Emperor's New Groove, which also premiered in the year 2000. Warburton actually recorded the lines for the pilot movie as well, but his performance was dubbed over once Tim Allen proved to be available.
