This wonderful double sided tee commemorates Sometimes I Cry, a one-woman show that was written and performed by Sheryl Lee Ralph in the summer of 2006. The show was produced by The Diva Foundation, a non-profit that was created by Ralph in 1990, and it first premiered in December of 2005 at the National Black Women and HIV/AIDS Conference in Los Angeles. Arguably best known for originating the role of Deena Jones in the musical Dreamgirls, Ralph rose to prominence in the entertainment industry in the late 70s and 80s, and thus she witnessed firsthand the effects of the AIDS Crisis.

Having lost numerous friends to the disease, Ralph became a dedicated HIV/AIDS activist, and Sometimes I Cry featured a collection of monologues from the various women she met through her advocacy work. The back of this tee perfectly summarizes the sentiment of the show with the words, "mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, auntie, niece, lover, friend, parent, provider, cook, confidant, teacher, motivator. AIDS affects us all! Spread the word NOT the disease."

Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. There is discoloration on the front, see pics.
