This sweet vintage shirt was made all the way back in the 60s. It comes in a light sunny yellow with a graphic that says "Here Comes Da Judge". Back in the 1960 comedy legend, Pigmeat Markham, came up with a schtick which centered around the phrase. The routine was designed to make fun of formal courtroom etiquette as Markham would sit on a judge's bench and listen to the cases of comic miscreants. He would also smack the accused with an inflated bladder-balloon. By 1968 Markham had released a album titled "Here Comes the Judge" which included a title track that made use of the phrase. The joke gained even more traction when it became a catchphrase used by Sammy Davis Jr. on Rowan & Martin's Laugh In which aired on NBC. Sammy Davis's interpretation of the routine helped it to gain attention with white audiences, as segregation kept Markham from performing outside of what was known as the "Chitlin' Circuit".
Fits like a modern adult women's small. This shirt has been cut from a sweatshirt into a halter top.
