This vintage tee dates back to the 1970s, where it commemorates the 1975 Springnationals at National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio. It's held up amazingly over the years and has tons of life left in it. Features classic old school graphics, and a hundred percent cotton.
The '75 season of NHRA racing was loaded with a lot of memorable firsts, dramas, and close races. One of the most talked about moments of the the Springnational was the Muldowney-Graham final. Shirley Muldowney was looking to make history as a female NHRA Pro Class first place winner and stake her place in the wild world of hot rod racing.
Marvin Graham had strong ambitions to win, too. For one, he didn't want to go down in history as the dude Muldowney beat in her first win. And he wanted to prove that his win the previous year was no fluke and well deserved. Shirley Muldowney hazed the tires a bit early and had a parachute failure which costed her the win that time, but she was the first woman in NHRA Pro Class to appear in the first final-round as runner-up to Marvin Graham.
The tag says large but this shirt fits a modern adult unisex medium.
