This cool vintage shirt is for the hardboiled erotic comic book series Black Kiss written and drawn by Howard Chaykin. The series was originally published by Vortex Comics back in 1988 and it was considered one of the most controversial North American comics of the late 80s. This was due to the comic's scenes involving explicit sex and violence, something that was uncommon in the medium at the time. The comic was sold in a plastic bag labeled "adults only" to prevent casual browsers from viewing the content inside. Despite its controversy, the comic was lauded for its story and Chaykin has described it as one of the most profitable books he's ever done.
The story was set in Los Angeles during the 80s and it followed jazz-musician and ex-heroin addict Cass Pollack as he attempts to track down a mysterious pornography reel which was stolen from the Vatican. Pollack is bribed into tracking down the reel by a former 1950s film star and her transsexual lover.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. This shirt is faded black in color.
