This sweet vintage baseball shirt celebrates the 1986 Boston Red Sox team, who were declared the American League Champions. This meant the team got to advance onto the 1986 World Series where they faced off against the New York Mets. It was a close series and by game six the Red Sox held a 3-2 series lead. During the game, the Sox had two opportunities where they were just one strike away from securing the championship. However the Mets eventually won the game thanks to a famous error made by first baseman Bill Buckner, who allowed a ground ball to slip right past him. The Mets eventually claimed the championship in game seven, and the Red Sox's loss was chalked up to another instance of the Curse of the Bambino.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
