This t-shirt is from 1980s surf clothing brand Catchit. The company was founded by Ian Foreman a South Africa native and former distributor for rival clothing brand Gotcha. The West Coast company specialized in t-shirts and board shorts and was initially very popular, but when sales slowed down they tried to broaden their appeal beyond that of just surf clothing. They originally did this by creating the lines SK8 and Skatehardware in order to sell to skateboarders in addition to surfers.
This double-sided tee reads "Can't sleep without it" on the front and "Can't eat without it" on the back, in reference to the wearer's surfboard.
