This amazing shirt is for WDCA's Creature Feature program and features an image of horror host, Count Gore De Vol as portrayed by Dick Dyszel. Dick Dyszel was a local television personality known throughout Washington D.C. for his portrayal's of Count Gore and Captain 20, the host of a children's cartoon block. The Count made his first appearance on the WDCA's version of Bozo the Clown, there he was known as M.T. Graves. When the character proved popular with fans the name was changed and he was given his own program. People believe the name De Vol may have been chosen in reference to a popular D.C. funeral home. Gore De Vol remained on air from 1973-1987, making him the area's longest running horror host, and his program was broadcast every Saturday evening. Although he never had an official sidekick, actress Eleanor Herman frequently portrayed his companion Countess von Stauffenberger.

Despite the show being cancelled in 1987, the Count continued to make a number of public appearances hosting live events and Halloween shows. He became the first horror host to present a weekly show on the internet in 1998, and he continues to be a frequent convention guest. He was also featured in the documentary American Scary which was screened at San Diego Comic-Con.
