This vintage tank top is for the debut album of the 80s new wave band Culture Club. The band was formed in 1981 by Boy George, Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, and Jon Moss. They released their first album Kissing to Be Clever the following year and it featured their breakthrough hit single "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me". Other singles "Time (Clock of the Heart)" and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" were also successful on the charts, making Culture Club the first band since the Beatles to have three top ten hits from a debut album in the US.
The band appeared on the British music program Top of Pops and Boy George garnered a lot of media attention for his androgynous style and sexual ambiguity. Kissing to Be Clever was followed by Color by Numbers in 1983, which featured the group's biggest hit "Karma Chameleon". The album sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and helped to solidify Culture Club as one of the most influential musical groups of the 1980s.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. The neck, sleeves, and bottom have all been cut.
