This cool double-sided concert t-shirt is for the band Deep Purple from their House of Blue Light Tour in 1987. The House of Blue Light was the group's 12th studio album and it was the second to feature the reformed lineup of Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, and Ian Paice. The tour, promoting the album, was interrupted when Blackmore broke his finger on stage while trying to catch his guitar after he threw it in the air. Several shows from this tour were also recorded and used to create the live album Nobody's Perfect, which was released in 1988.
After the release of the live album, Gillan was fired. The band originally planned to replace him with Survivor's Jimi Jamison, but they ran into complications with his record label, Scotti Brothers Records. Deep Purple then proceeded to interview a series of high profile candidates before eventually filling Gillan's position with former Rainbow vocalist Joe Lynn Turner. Turner recorded just one album with the band, Slaves and Masters, which was released in 1990.
The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small.
