This awesome raglan tee is for the cult classic sci fi television series Doctor Who and the shirt comes from the Doctor Who Fan Club of America, also known as the DWFCA, during the year 1983. That was the year the group organized the Whovian Festival Tour. The fan club was founded in 1982 and based out of Denver.

Both the club and the demand for conventions centering around the show came when the rights for the BBC program were acquired by the USA and Canada. PBS began airing the four seasons featuring Tom Baker as the titular Doctor in 1978. The series then gained traction in the 80s and its popularity was furthered by cast appearances at science fiction conventions. Thanksgiving weekend in 1983 saw a standing-room-only event in Chicago that featured appearances from four actors who all played the Doctor, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison, and Tom Baker. BBC Enterprises later organized the Doctor Who USA Tour which was a two year long exhibition showcasing props and memorabilia from the show.

The tag says large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult medium
