This double-sided concert t-shirt is for the band the Doobie Brothers from their 1980 concert tour promoting their album One Step Closer. This was the group's ninth studio album and it included the hit song "Real Love", which managed to make it to the number five spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This was also the group's last album to feature Michael McDonald on keyboards and lead vocals, until their 2014 release Southbound.
The group decided to disband shortly after this, but not before embarking on one last Farewell Tour. By this point, the last remaining member of the original Doobie Brothers lineup was Patrick Simmons, but even he chose to leave the band by the end of 1981. Simmons agreed to return for the 1982 tour on the condition that it would truly be their last, and he considered the tour a way to thank the group's loyal fanbase. The band played their final concert at the Greek Theater on September 11th, during which they were joined on stage by founding vocalist Tom Johnston. The Doobie Brothers would eventually reunite again in 1987.
The tag says large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is a repair on the back, see pics.
