This classic racing tee pays tribute to one of the greatest Midget Series driver of the 1980s, Gene Gennetten. It's held up beautifully over the years and perfectly captures that old school look and feel. Features double sided print, amazing graphics, and a strong cotton feel.
Gene Gennetten was a force to be reckoned with in the Southwest Independent Midget Series (SWIMS) between 1981 and 1984. Of those four years, he won the title twice and placed second and third when he wasn't first. In addition to being a gnarly racer, Gennetten was also a skilled mechanic who built most of the cars he drove.
Among Gene's many accomplishments in those four fine years, was placing first in 10 Feature races up against other madly talented drivers like Jeff Heywood, Ken Schrader, and Mark Passarelli. On a number of occasions, he would turn down the winning prize money and instead had it reinvested into the series. Gennetten was unarguably an all around great guy and amazing racer. His legacy lives on through his everlasting accomplishments and contributions to SWIMS and endearing family and friends.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. Double sided print.
