This double-sided shirt is from the National Zoo in Washington DC and it features graphics of giraffes on both the front and the back. The zoo is a part of the Smithsonian Institution and it was founded back in 1889, making it one of the oldest zoos in the United States. The zoo was home to several giraffes over the years, but the last giraffe left back in the early 2000s, a Rothschild giraffe named Randal, who went to live at Zoo Tampa. The first giraffes to be housed at the zoo were acquired back in 1926 during a trip to East Africa, which practically doubled the zoo's animals. The giraffes were housed in the Elephant House which was eventually converted into the zoo's Elephant Trails.
