Chili cooking competitions are popular events, especially in the southern states. The alleged first, modern day chili cook-off occurred at the State Fair of Texas in 1952 although some accounts claim that the first cook-off was in Terlingua, Texas in 1967. The latter was called the World Championship Chili Cook-off and eventually spawned the International Chili Society, which has sanctioned chili cook-offs world wide. ICS chili cook-offs became huge festivals in the 80s, called "adult woodstock" by the society's founder, Carroll Shelby. Sanctioned ICS cook-offs are also fundraisers, with an estimated 50 million dollars having been raised by the end of the 1980s.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large.
