The album reached number one in Australia and peaked at number three in the US. It also resulted in four top ten singles, that included \"Need You Tonight\", \"Devil Inside\", \"Never Tear Us Apart\", and \"New Sensation\". \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eKick\u003c\/em\u003e wound up becoming the band's most commercially successful album, and it was certified six times platinum. Although it lost to U2, the album was nominated for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 1989 Grammy Awards.
