The 113th running of the Kentucky Derby attracted 130, 532 attendees to the city of Lousville, Kentucky. The race is best remembered for its bloodied track when a horse, Cryptoclearance, was lacerated by railing after being bumped by another horse. It prevailed and finished fourth, but bled profusely the whole time, leaving tons of blood in its tracks. This year's winning horse was Alysheba and its jockey Chris McCarron.
