This vintage NASA tee commemorates the 26th space shuttle mission known as STS-26. The occasion marked Discovery's seventh flight and was dubbed "America's Return to Space." On September 29th, 1988 a crew of five astronauts launched into space from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It was made up of Commander Frederick H. Hauck, Pilot Richard O. Covey, and mission specialists John Lounge, David Hilmers, and George Nelson. The crew spent 4 days and completed 64 orbits before returning to Earth on October 3, 1988.
