This double-sided t-shirt is for the iconic frontman of the heavy metal band Kiss, Paul Stanley. Stanley co-founded the group alongside Gene Simmons and served as the band's rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist. He created the Starchild character for his Kiss persona which featured a black star painted over his right eye. The back of the shirt reads " I Had a One Night Stand" which is a reference to Stanley's 1989 concert tour which was dubbed the One Night Stand Tour.
Stanley released his self-titled solo album in 1978 as a part of the four simultaneously released Kiss solo albums. He also wrote and recorded material for another solo album in the late 80s, however this material was shelved in favor of the Kiss compilation album Smashes, Thrashes & Hits. Stanley's tour featured a backing band consisting of guitarist Bob Kulick and eventual Kiss drummer Eric Singer. The same year as the tour Stanley also sang lead vocals on the title track for the Wes Craven horror film Shocker.
