This fun black sweatshirt says, "Popeye's Gym and Spinach Bar" and it features a graphic of the titular character of the Popeye the Sailor Man cartoons. Popeye was first conceived by Elzie Crisler Segar back in the 1920s and he made his debut appearance in the daily King Features comic strip, Thimble Theatre. Popeye was not adapted into a cartoon until 1933, when Max Fleischer got a hold of the character for Paramount Pictures. The cartoons were some of the most popular of the decade and the series continued into the 1950s.

Over the years Popeye has appeared in comic books, television series, video games, and numerous advertisements. He was even adapted into a live action movie starring Robin Williams opposite Shelley Duvall as Popeye's girlfriend Olive Oyl.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large.
