This awesome double-sided muscle t-shirt is for Prince and the Revolution. The revolution was a Minneapolis rock band formed in 1979 by Prince. Together the group released Purple Rain in 1984, which launched them to international fame. At the time of the release the band consisted of Prince, Wendy Melvin, Brown Mark, Lisa Coleman, Matt "Doctor" Fink, and Bobby Z. Purple Rain peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 and included a number of hit singles such as "When Doves Cry", "Let's Go Crazy", "I Would Die 4 U", and "Take Me With U". The title song of the album won two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Instrumental Composition Written Specifically for Motion Picture or for Television.

The band was expanded in 1985 to include members of the soon-to-be-defunct band The Family, which included several artists from Prince's former associated band The Time. Aside from their hit album Purple Rain, the band also produced 1999, although they went uncredited, Around the World in a Day, and Parade before the group dissolved. An unreleased album titled Dream Factory was in the works at the time that the group broke-up.
