This 80s band tee pays homage to alt-rock icons R.E.M. It's truly stood the test of time, preserving that old school charm for years to come. Features eye-catching graphics and a lovely cotton blend- very comfy and nice to look at.

The imagery spotlights an aerial birds eye view of Athens AKA the Classic City, often revered as a musical mecca and birth place of REM along with other great acts like the B-52s, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Drive-By Truckers. Athens also holds the historic "REM Steeple", a piece of the original St. Mary's Church where the band played their first show in 1980.

R.E.M was widely known as an alt-rock mega star band throughout the 1980s and 1990s. They were founded in Athens, GA by four University of Georgia students; Michael Stipe, Mike Mills, Bill Berry, and Peter Buck. Throughout their music career, the band enjoyed enormous commercial success thanks to unforgettable albums like Murmer, Reckoning, and Fables of the Reconstruction just to name a few.

REM continued creating music into the 2000s, and in 2007 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. When they disbanded in 2011, there were no legal disputes, no falling outs, and nothing malicious that lead up to it or following their departures. Everyone remained friends and it was simply time to move on beyond the band. This is very unique and cannot be said for many other rock bands throughout history.

Today, REM's legacy lives through their massive contributions to rock music, their dedicated fans, and amazing collectibles and memorabilia like this vintage tee.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
