This incredible gay erotica t-shirt from the 80s bears an illustration by artist Rex, featuring a crew of firefighters taking a smoke break with their chests bare. Rex's work is associated with gay fetish and S&M art of the 70s, and New York and San Francisco queer subculture of the 80s.

In his career, Rex has made drawings for infamous gay nightclubs like the Mineshaft in NYC's Meatpacking district, sex shops like the Pleasure Chest, and magazine covers for Drummer Magazine. Along with poster commissions, his work was reprinted on t-shirts during the club's lifetime., as well as calendars and catalogues.

His black and white pen and ink drawings resonated with the emerging leather scene, and celebrated gay bathhouse culture unapologetically. He signed each drawing with "REX" so as to not be arrested, as explicit gay imagery was illegal.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large
