This epic tee is all love for WWF tag teamers Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty. These professional wrestlers were known collectively as The Rockers and their getup truly embodied the 1980s aesthetic. This tee features a fun purple tone with a cut neck, much like what The Rockers are wearing in the graphic. To supplement their look, they're also rocking cheetah spandex and long shaggy hair. They teamed up in various wrestling associations and federations between 1985 and 1992.
The duo rocked the WWF ring specifically from 1988-1992, and even reunited in 2005 for a brief stint. In 1990 they became entangled in a huge controversy surrounding the WWF Tag Team Championship. Despite beating the standing champs of The Hart Foundation, the WWF never officially recognized The Rockers champion status due to a part of the ring breaking in the middle of the fight. Michaels details the debacle in his book Heartbreak & Triumph: the Shawn Michaels Story and the winning match can be seen on the namesake DVD.
1992 saw an ugly breakup of the tag team, which helped push Michaels into the singles ranks. As a solo wrestler, he became known under the moniker "The Hearbreak Kid". He and Jannetty would go on to have on-again off-again fueds, with Jannety teaming up with Leif Cassidy (Al Snow) to form The New Rockers albiet with little success. Things may have ended sour for the beloved Rockers, but their legacy lives on in this awesome tee.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. Neck is cut.
