This awesome vintage band shirt pays tribute to the German heavy metal band, Running Wild, and it features a sweet pentagram logo. Running Wild emerged on the German metal scene in the 1980s, and became one of the country's so-called "big four" power metal acts, right alongside the bands Grave Digger, Helloween, and Rage. This shirt is most likely from the band's earlier days, when their work was more centered around Satanic themes. Beginning with their third studio album, titled Under the Jolly Roger, the band moved away from Satanism and more toward themes of piracy and other historical happenings.

Running Wild was first formed in 1976, and they chose their name after the Judas Priest song. The band wouldn't release their first studio album until 1984. Their debut, Gates to Purgatory, was released by Noise Records and it earned the group a passionate cult following. The satanic themes found on the album were partially inspired by guitarist Gerald "Preacher" Warnecke's interest in theology, although Warnecke left the band following the album and wound up becoming a vicar.
