Behold, Spaceballs the T-shirt! This humorous vintage tee is from the 1987 Mel Brook's comedy Spaceballs. As Yogurt tells Lone Starr, merchandising is where the real money from the movie is made. The back of the shirt features the quote "May the Schwartz Be With You".

Spaceballs was released in 1987 as a parody of the popular franchise Star Wars. It starred Bill Pullman, John Candy, Daphne Zuniga, and Rick Moranis as the evil Dark Helmet, a spoof of the iconic villain Darth Vader. The movie is packed full of other Star Wars like characters such as Dot Matrix, voiced by Joan Rivers, who is a parody of C-3PO and Pizza the Hutt, a spoof of Jabba the Hutt. Apparently Brooks struck a deal that he was allowed to poke fun at the franchise so long as he didn't release any action figures, as George Lucas was concerned the figures would look too similar to his own.

This was Bill Pullman's first major film role, and he hadn't seen any of the Star Wars movies prior to filming. Brooks originally wanted to cast a big name actor like Tom Cruise in the role of Lone Starr, but after he acquired comedians like John Candy and Rick Moranis, he was more willing to cast an unknown actor for the lead.

The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small.
