This sweet double-sided t-shirt is for the San Francisco based rock band The Tubes and the shirt commemorates the group's sixth studio album The Completion Backward Principle. Released in 1981, this was the band's first release from Capitol Records. The album was accompanied by a long form music video of the same name, although the video did not include all of the songs off the album. The Completion Backward Principle spawned two hit singles "Don't Want to Wait Anymore" and "Talk to Ya Later".
Prior to the release of the album, the Tubes had appeared in the Olivia Newton-John musical movie Xanadu. They were featured on the song "Dancin'" singing the rock portion of the song opposite a big band. The Tubes were also known for their elaborate and theatrical stage shows which featured props and costumes constructed by the band, their crew, and their friends. Live performances often featured a variety of performers including tap dancers and acrobats and productions were choreographed by Kenny Ortega who had choreographed Xanadu and would also later choreograph other movies like Dirty Dancing and Newsies.
Fits like a modern unisex adult extra small. There is a stain on the front near the bottom, see pics.
