This awesome vintage 80s t-shirt is from the US Music Festival held on Labor Day weekend in 1982 in San Bernadino, California. This t-shirt comes from MTV's coverage of the festival, featuring the MTV logo across the chest and back. The event was founded and established by Steve Wozniak as an attempt to bring people together around music and technology. Lasting 3 days, the lineup included bands such as The Police, The B-52's, Talking Heads, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, The Kinds, Santana, Eddie Money, Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffet, The Cars, and The Grateful Dead.

The US Festivals were paid for by Steve Woziak, Apple Computer co-founder. There are reports from US '82 that the bill totaled $12 million and that Wozniak paid $1.5 million for Bon Jovi alone in '83! A response to his own baby boomer generation, also referred to as the "ME" generation, Wozniak intended the US Festivals to encourage the 1980s to be more community-oriented and combine technology with rock music. Apparently, the name is an abbreviation for "Unite US in Song".
