This classic band tee is dedicated to the 80s band Was (Not Was). It's aged incredibly well and ready for many more years of wear. Features soft poly cotton, double sided print, and a that old school rocker vibe.

Was (Not Was) dates back to 1979, founded by Don Fagenson and David Weiss of Detroit. Together they merged a dynamic and unique blend of pop, rock, and dance- some would consider their sound to be art-funk or new wave. As the 1980s rolled around, the band gained a lot of traction with catchy hits like "Walk the Dinosaur" from the album What Up, Dog? and "Papa was a Rollin Stone" from Are You Okay?

Throughout the 1980s and the early 1990s, Was (Not Was) continues to crank out catchy tunes and make it onto the charts in the US, UK, AU, and more. They also put lots of focus on their music videos, collabbing with Christoph Simon and Tom Waits. Those videos would end up on MTV's Liquid Television along with film festivals like Spike and Mike Festival.

Was (Not Was)'s legacy is immortalized by their iconic works, dedicated fans, and epic rock collectibles like this vintage t-shirt.
