This sweet vintage t-shirt features an illustration from the widely celebrated American cartoonist Alison Bechdel. Bechdel first rose to fame thanks to her ongoing comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For, which she started in 1983. The strip was first published in a feminist newspaper called WomaNews and it detailed the day to day life of the modern day lesbian community. The comic strip also came to be known for originating the "Bechdel Test" which later became a metric used in the cultural discussion of film. In order to past the "Bechdel Test" a piece of media must include two or more female characters that have a conversation with each other centering around something other than a man.

Bechdel later gained additional attention for her graphic memoir Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic, which detailed the cartoonist's childhood and the years surrounding her father's suicide. The comic was later adapted into a Broadway musical, and in 2015 it won the Tony Award for Best Musical.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There are light spots on the front, see pics.
