This vintage band tee pays homage to one of the greatest rock groups of all time, the Beatles. It's a nineties original loaded with amazing graphics, double sided print, and amazing one hundred percent cotton. The image on the front is the iconic work of Iain Macmillan, and perhaps one of the most famous renderings of the band, appearing on their 1969 album Abbey Road.
The Beatles have roots tracing back to the early 1960s, when members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr got together and played in local clubs around Liverpool and Hamburg. In just a few short years, the group found themselves becoming international stars, breaking sales records, and leading the pop culture "British Invasion".
Throughout the sixties the Beatles released several well received albums including A Hard Day's Night, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Abbey Road, and Yellow Submarine. In 1970 they released the album Let It Be along with the accompanying single "The Long and Winding Road". It was the groups' last single together as McCartney filed suit for the dissolution of the band's contractual partnership.
That same year all four members released solo albums and began pursuing their own respective careers. However, the enduring fame of the group had fans clinging onto the hope that they would reunite, and several entrepreneurs made public offers to the group for a Beatles reunion concert during the 1970s. To this day, the Beatles' legacy carries on thanks for their remarkable contributions to rock n roll, unforgettable performances, and amazing rock collectibles like this 90s band tee.
