This sweet, vintage tee features a large graphic of the cartoon characters, Heckle and Jeckle, from cartoonist Paul Terry's Terrytoons animation studios. Paul Terry's original idea for talking, yellow-billed magpies was an animated short film from the 40s called The Talking Magpies which featured a husband-wife duo of wisecracking birds. After the studio was sold to CBS in the 50s, the magpies made a comeback in the Heckle and Jeckle Cartoon Show which ran on Saturday mornings for 10 years. Heckle and Jeckle were a duo of trouble makers and the show often revolved around their antics and pranks. Other Terrytoons characters, such as Mighty Mouse, also made appearances on the show.

Heckle and Jeckle also made appearances in Terrytoon comics, published by Marvel's corporate predecessor. Heckle and Jeckle had their own comic series for a while but they also appeared in numerous other Terrytoon comics as supporting characters. Heckle and Jeckle had officially licensed merchandise like toys, coloring books, salt shakers, and Halloween costumes. The last piece of media that featured the duo was a Nickelodeon pilot called Curbside. The pilot episode aired in 1999 but the series was never picked up.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. Small paint spot, see pics.
