This vintage rock tee is for the singer and musical group Marilyn Manson . The shirt features an American flag where the stars are replaced by the high voltage symbol which Manson often used as the logo for his band. The back of the shirt reads "American by Birth Anti-Christ by Choice". Manson started his self-titled band in 1989, and he created his iconic stage name by combining the names of two opposing cultural icons, a sex symbol and a serial killer.
This shirt is from the 90s, when some of Manson's most notable albums were released including Portrait of an American Family, Antichrist Superstar, and Mechanical Animals. Portrait of an American Family was the band's first studio album released in 1994. It was produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails and released on his label Nothing Records. From this the group began to gain a cult following. The album was followed by Smells Like Children which contained their first big MTV hit, a cover of the 1983 Eurythimics song "Sweet Dream (Are Made of This)".
Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. This shirt is distressed with lots of holes and fading, see pics.
