This awesome double-sided tee is for the Los Angeles based rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who were first formed back in 1983. The band, which consists of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante, has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful alternative rock bands of all time.

This shirt is from 1992, the year after the group released their fifth studio album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. The album featured two of the band's best known hit songs "Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge", the former of which earned the band a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal at the 1992 Grammy Awards. Blood Sugar Sex Magik was also released alongside a documentary about the band titled Funky Monks, and it was promoted with a tour featuring Nivana, Pearl Jam, and Smashing Pumpkins as opening acts. That year they also headlined the Lollapalooza festival.

The success at the time began to trouble Frusciante, who started to descend into drug addiction. He quit the band abruptly at a show in Tokyo in 1992 and was briefly replaced with Arik Marshall. The band had been hoping to hire Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction, but Navarro was working to get his own drug problems under control. He later contacted the band in 1993 and played with them until 1998.
