This sweet double-sided concert tee is for the iconic rock band Rush and the shirt commemorates their 1996-1997 tour promoting their sixteenth studio album, Test For Echo. This was the last Rush album to be released before the death of drummer and primary lyricist, Neil Pearl's daughter and wife. This tragedy wound up putting the band on an extended hiatus and they didn't release another album until Vapor Trails in 2001.
While the band was recording the new album at Chalet Studios, they were hit with a heavy snow that eventually transformed into the North American Blizzard of 1996. The snow continued throughout the duration of their recording sessions and subsequently inspired the album's artwork.
Rush is a Canadian rock band who first achieved commercial success in the 1970s with albums like Fly By Night, 2112, A Farewell to Kings, and Hemispheres. Their popularity continued steadily throughout the 80s and 90s, and over the years they have earned 14 Platinum and 3 multi-Platinum albums in the US, with an additional 17 Platinum albums in their home country of Canada. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
