The Rebels beat the Duke Blue Devils 103-73 for their first ever national title. The Rebels scored over 570 points over a six game period, setting the record for most points scored by one team during the tournament. The 103 points they scored in the championship also marked the first, and as of 2022 the last time in tournament history that 100 points were scored in a championship game.
