This vintage hockey shirt is for the NHL team the Minnesota Wild, which was first founded in 1997, however the team did not start playing until the 2000 to 2001 season. The Wild were the first NHL franchise to be placed in Minnesota since the Minnesota North Stars were moved to Dallas in 1993. They managed to make their first Stanley Cup playoffs appearance during the 2002 to 2003 season, and they made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals. The team is based out of Saint Paul and they play their home games at the Xcel Energy Center.
