This cool tee was made for boating enthusiasts and it features a colorful cartoon graphic of a "river rat" piloting a speedboat. The term river rat has long been used to describe folks who enjoy spending recreational time along their local river, and this shirt features an amazing cartoon graphic that is totally 70s. The image is reminiscent of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's famous Rat Fink character.

During the 1970s, many t-shirt manufacturers took inspiration from Big Daddy Roth and other Kustom Kulture artists. The influential t-shirt company, Roach, even hired Ed Newton, who used to be the principle artist over at Roth Studios. While it's difficult to read the artist signature on this tee, it's clear that its creators drew inspiration from artists like Roth and Newton.
