McMahon seized control over the company from his father. McMahon trademarked the initials WWF, and began signing major superstars like Hulk Hogan, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, and Jesse "The Body" Ventura. This shirt showcases a variety of wrestlers that were also signed, including "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Ric Flair, and Yokozuna.

By the beginning of the 90s, popularity was down as a result of bad press surrounding a steroid scandal.
