This awesome concert t-shirt is from 1982 and it celebrates Elton John's Jump Up! Tour that was launched to promote the English musician's sixteenth studio album of the same name. The album was released by John's own record company, the Rocket Record Company, save for in the US and Canada where it was released by Geffen Records. Some of the singles off the album included "Ball & Chain", "Blue Eyes", "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny) which was a tribute to John Lennon, and "All Quiet on the Western Front". The album also included the song "Spiteful Child", which John wrote alongside Tim Rice. The two musicians would later collaborate with each other for the soundtrack to the Disney film, The Lion King.

Jump Up! was followed by Too Low For Zero, which was released the following year. This album included the hit songs "I'm Still Standing" and "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues", which featured Stevie Wonder on harmonica. That same year, John ran into some controversy when he broke the United Nation's cultural boycott on apartheid era South Africa by performing in Sun City.
