This sweet t-shirt is to celebrate the 26th iteration of one of California's quirkiest traditions, the Doo Dah Parade. The shirt describes the event as "occasional" rather than annual, but the parade has a history that dates back to 1978. It was originally conceived as a parody of the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. During the winter of '78, the Rose Parade's traditional date landed on a Sunday. Since the parade doesn't march on Sundays, a group of local friends decided to throw the Doo Dah Parade instead. Since then it has become a fun-filled tradition organized by the Pasadena Follies, with colorful participants like The Marching Lumberjacks, Count Smokula, The Invisible Man Marching Drill Team, and the Bastard Sons of Lee Marvin.
