At one point he was the highest-paid rock musician in the world, and people flocked to see Hendrix's legendary performances. Some of his most famous live shows included the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and Woodstock in 1968. He also headlined the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, just a few months before his tragic death.
