This shirt celebrates the 11th Annual Norman & Vi Petty Music Festival held in Clovis, New Mexico. This 1997 event was held in Petty's hometown, which was also the location of  his business, Norman Petty Recording Studios. Petty was a record producer, radio station owner, and the founder of the Norman Petty Trio, which featured his wife Vi on vocals and Jack Vaughn on guitar. Over the years, Petty worked with musicians like Waylon Jennings, Roy Orbison, and Carolyn Hester. He was also responsible for producing the majority of Buddy Holly's recordings from 1956 to 1958. According to this tee, 1997's festival featured appearances by Mark Chesnutt, The Fireballs, and Bobby Vee.
