This sweet vintage shirt features the logo for the 1997 British comedy film, The Full Monty. The movie starred Robert Carlyle and Mark Addy as two former steelworkers who decide to raise some money by putting together a male striptease show similar to Chippendale's. The pair recruit a small group of men, several of whom were also effected by layoffs at the local steel mill, and they decide that to attract people to their show they will do what no other male strip show has done before, they will bare everything and go "the full monty".
The movie was a huge success upon its release, and it even managed to be the highest-grossing film in the UK until Titanic premiered later that year. Despite the comedic premise, the movie touched on several serious topics like unemployment, depression, father's rights and child custody, body image, homosexuality, and working class culture.
The story was Americanized and adapted into a musical in 2000. While much of the plot stayed the same, the setting was changed to Buffalo, New York and Patrick Wilson, known for his roles in the Conjuring movies starred in the original Broadway production of the show.
