This awesome tee celebrates the first ten years of the Star Wars franchise. This 10 year anniversary of the beloved science fiction films was celebrated through a special convention held in 1987. This event was the first officially licensed Star Wars con to ever be staged and it was held at the Stouffer Concourse Hotel in Los Angeles. In addition to the films' creator, George Lucas, another special guest to appear at the event was Star Trek's Gene Roddenberry, leading to one of the only known photographs of the two iconic creators together.

Since then, fan interest in the Star Wars franchise has only continued to grow. This has been helped greatly by the ever growing number of movies, spin-offs series, comic books, video games, and novelizations which have been added to the Star Wars canon over the years. Despite all this additional content, this shirt features a character who has remained one of the most iconic in the franchise, Darth Vader, the main antagonist of the original trilogy. Vader is a Sith Lord, whose tragic turn to the dark side became the basis for the prequel trilogy which was launched in 1999.
