This cool vintage shirt is from back in the 60s and it features a bold blue and white striped design. This shirt was made by a company called Catalina Sportswear, which was the successor to the brand Pacific Knitting Mills. Catalina was founded in the late 20s, and they continued to produce a variety of apparel throughout the 20th century. This particular tee is a piece of classic surfwear from their Catalina Surfers line. By the 1960s, surf culture had gained an impressive amount of traction and many apparel companies took notice. Sportswear companies like Catalina realized the potential of the surf market, and began producing stylish and casual pieces that could be worn both in and out of the water.
