This sweet shirt celebrates the progressive rock band Automatic Man, and it features the unique artwork that was used for their self-titled album in 1976. The shirt also includes the logo for Island Records, which released both of the band's two studio albums. Automatic Man was formed in San Francisco in the mid 70s thanks to former Santana drummer, Michael Shrieve. Shrieve had been looking to explore other musical opportunities and he wound up joining forces with Pat Thrall, Todd Cochran, and Doni Harvey.

Although Island Records had signed them for a two-record deal, the original lineup dissolved before a follow up was released. Instead, the band's second and final album featured Thrall and Cochran alongside Glenn Symmonds and Jerome Rimson. In the end, the original lineup wound up finding more success as solo and session musicians than they ever did as a band. Despite this, Automatic Man still gained a small but global cult following, and they produced a Billboard Hot 100 hit with the song "My Pearl".
